Rachel Deffendall, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner | Owner and Founder
Rachel Deffendall, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of The Beaumont Med Spa, where she combines evidence-based medicine with personalized wellness and aesthetic care. A Lebanon, Tennessee native, Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cumberland University in 2003 before completing her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Middle Tennessee State University in 2014.
With more than two decades of healthcare experience, Rachel has built a diverse clinical background spanning emergency medicine, intensive care, pediatric emergency care, cardiac catheterization, surgery, aesthetics, and functional medicine. She spent nearly ten years serving as a flight nurse and paramedic with Vanderbilt LifeFlight, providing critical care transport throughout the region by helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft. During her tenure, she also served as an associate instructor for Vanderbilt University's Emergency Medicine airway and cadaver laboratories and instructed at the national Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Conference.
From 2014 to 2023, Rachel practiced with The Surgical Clinic, PLLC, one of Middle Tennessee's premier surgical practices. She worked one-on-one with board-certified general surgeons and endocrinology, providing comprehensive care for patients with breast, thyroid, parathyroid, colorectal, and general surgical conditions. During this time, she developed extensive expertise in surgical procedures, office and hospital based biopsies, endocrine disorders, advanced wound care, and aesthetics. Rachel is also certified in Hyperbaric Medicine, further expanding her experience in advanced wound healing and regenerative therapies.
Driven by a passion for preventive medicine and helping patients achieve optimal health, Rachel founded The Beaumont Med Spa in 2022. The practice offers a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to wellness, specializing in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), medical weight management, peptide therapies, IV nutrient replacement, genetics, regenerative medicine, hair restoration, and advanced aesthetic treatments, including injectables and customized skincare. The Beaumont is also among a select group of practices nationally recognized by EBOO Medical for offering Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation (EBOO) therapy.
Rachel is dedicated to providing individualized care that addresses the root causes of health concerns while helping patients look, feel, and perform their best. She believes that true wellness extends beyond treating symptoms and focuses on creating personalized treatment plans that support long-term vitality, confidence, and healthy aging.
Her commitment to excellence has earned numerous community and professional recognitions. Rachel has been honored as a Woman of Wilson by The Wilson Post, featured as a Woman of Wellness by Lebanon City Lifestyle, recognized as Best Nurse Practitioner in Wilson County in both 2023 and 2024 by the Main Street Awards, named a Best Nurse Practitioner in Middle Tennessee finalist in 2024, and again recognized as a Best Nurse Practitioner in Wilson County finalist in 2025. Under her leadership, The Beaumont Med Spa has also become one of Middle Tennessee's most awarded wellness practices, receiving multiple Best of Wilson County and Best of Middle Tennessee honors for its commitment to exceptional patient care.

Hannah Porterfield, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Hannah joined The Beaumont Med Spa in 2024 as a Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Cumberland University School of Nursing in 2007 and earned a Masters of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University in 2014. She has previous nursing experience in Neonatal ICU, ER, and surgery. As a nurse practitioner she has had focuses in pediatrics and primary care.
She is passionate about the fields of hormone balance and weight management as she has personally struggled with PCOS, insulin resistance, and hormone disruption. She is excited to journey along with you as you work to optimize your health and well-being through multiple personalized options at The Beaumont.
In addition to hormone replacement, weight management, and peptide therapies, Hannah is also available for Botox injections, microneedling, Iv infusions, and chemical peels.

David Deffendall, APRN, CRNA
Advanced Practice Nurse
David is an advance practice nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who has over 12 years experience in critical care and anesthesia. He has always had an interest in functional medicine and is now accepting patients looking to combine conventional and complimentary care.
His focuses include:

Martha Wilson
Medical Aesthetician, ZO SkinHealth Expert, Phlebotomy
Martha is a medical aesthetician as well as certified in phlebotomy. She grew up in Hendersonville, but is now a local resident of Lebanon. She started her aesthetician career in 2012 and has been improving people’s skin on the daily since!
She has been recognized as a ZO skinhealth expert, and specializes in facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, back facials and microneedling! She is also trained and skilled in lab/blood draws. Her passion is making you feel relaxed, beautiful, and confident.
Martha was named the 2024 and 2025 BEST AESTHETICIAN in Wilson County and also the 2024 BEST AESTHETICIAN in Middle Tennessee!

Mindy Borders
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Mindy is a licensed practical nurse (LPN), and she has been in the medical field for the past 23 years. Mindy has prior experience in plastic surgery and general surgery.
When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two adult children.
Mindy is available to help navigate your experience and make it the best it can be! She is here to help coordinate appointments, manage prescription needs and refills, perform in office lab draws and injections, and serve as your advocate while in our office!

Jerrika Brown, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Jerrika is a highly skilled and trained licensed massage therapist. She combines technical skill, deep anatomical knowledge, empathy, and professionalism to provide you with the best treatment possible.
She is client-focused, customizing each session to tailor each massage based on your condition, history, and preferences.
She is trained in combination therapies, deep-tissue, cupping, as well as hot stone massage and treatments for TMJ.

Jessica Auth
Patient Care Specialist
Jessica is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. With seven years of experience teaching chemistry and elementary science, she brings both knowledge and a passion for helping others to her role at The Beaumont.
Jessica lives in Lebanon with her husband and their two children. She’s here to ensure your experience at The Beaumont is as smooth and welcoming as possible. Whether you have questions about our services or need help scheduling with one of our providers, Jessica is happy to assist!

Kristen Grispo
Patient Care Specialist
Kristen is also a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. She spent five years building a strong foundation in sales and management in corporate America before choosing a new path that brought her to The Beaumont.
Outside of work, Kristen lives on her family’s century farm with her husband, Matt, and their two beloved dogs, Hank and Rosie. When she’s not working, you can often find her enjoying the peace of rural life.
